How do you write a Thank You note to your Dental School Interviewers?
Just as we discussed in How To Write A Thank You Note After Shadowing, it is absolutely crucial to write a thank you note to those who took the time to interview you on your Dental School Interview Day. Remember, those who were selected to interview you did it on a volunteer basis because they are committed to finding the best applicants for their school. Show them you are that person.
To whom should i write?
Preferably, everyone who interviewed you on that day. This includes the two faculty interviewers and the student interviewer. The student's address will be hard to find, but you can always call the school and ask how you can send a thank you note to the student (it may just be to the school and not the student's home address).
To find the interviewer's addresses, I looked up where they practice (this is why you should write down and remember their names) and just send it there. Be sure to include your name and address on the envelope so they know who sent it!
If you have any questions as to where to send the letter, call the Admissions Office and they should be able to help.

what do i say in the thank you letter for the dental school interview?
Something along these lines:
Dear Dr. S,
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to interview me on January 12th. I am grateful for the opportunity I had in meeting you and our conversations about public health dentistry.
I would very much like to attend UNC School of Dentistry, and I sincerely hope that my commitment to both dentistry and the school came across in my interview. It would be an honor to be a member of the UNC Class of 2021.
I wish you and the rest of the Committee the best in your decision process and look forward to hearing your decision.
Sincerely,
Lindsey
In this letter you should:
1. Thank them for sacrificing their time
2. Remind them of when they shadowed you (they go through a bunch of interview sessions)
3. Tell them how committed you are to the school
4. Insert a specific thing you talked about (dental or non-dental related)
5. Wish them the best in the decision process (showing compassion is key)
6. Sign with a "Sincerely"

The other thank you letter
I sent a letter to the dentist who wrote my letter of recommendation, thanking him for helping me get to Dental School Interview Day. I thought this was a nice touch and a classy way to stay in contact with someone who took time months ago to help me out.
Congratulations!
