meet my people
So, I thought it was about time to introduce the people that I spend over 8 hours a day, 5 days a week with.
I know that it's cliche to say pretty much anything about meeting friends in school and them impacting you forever, but whatever. I love my closest friends, and I think that we do a pretty gosh darn great job of supporting one another through tests, sleepless nights, the triumphs and the disasters.

So, without further adieu, here's the skinny on my friends!
Priya: The summer before school started, my class created a Facebook page, then later a GroupMe so that we could have chances to meet one another before classes actually started. At one of these lunches, Priya and I met (or according to Priya, we actually re-introduced ourselves) and hit it off from the start. We both shared the same interests, found one another entertaining, and just really got along. Before leaving, we exchanged numbers and promised remain in contact over the summer. On the first day of orientation, we met up so that we could both walk in knowing someone. Seriously, ever since we met/re-met at lunch, we have become absolutely inseparable. She's featured throughout my other blog posts because she has had such an impact on my life. Priya, I know you're reading this. You're awesome and I'm so lucky to be your friend!
Christopher: Based on our last names, Christopher and I were in the same orientation group. On the first day of orientation, we had to take another tour of the school, get our pictures published, and waste time between sessions by making small chat and doing ice breakers. During our walks, we got onto the topic of significant others while going through dental school. If you know Christopher, you know that he is in LOVE with his wife. He has two gorgeous children, who are so amazingly precious, and he does everything for them. Over this semester, there are some things that I know will always remain a constant with Christopher: his love for his family, his faith, his adoration for Chick-Fil-A, and his unconditional support of his classmates.
Curtis: I believe that I met Curtis through Priya; they knew each other through a mutual friend from high school. One of Curtis's most redeeming qualities is his willingness to help others. Some of us (myself included) hardcore struggled through Dental Anatomy lab. When he got tired of looking at his own tooth or finished his project early, Curtis would walk around the classroom and help anyone who was struggling. He's always there if you need someone to joke around with, recap scenes of The Office, or review for tomorrow's test.
Chris: After the first day of orientation, Priya and I wanted to picture outside by the dental school sign. We asked one of our classmates to take the picture of us. Turns out that person was Chris. Over the semester, Chris has become know within our group as "The Cool Guy," giving credit to his always apparent strut and stories of his college parties. Chris worked in a dental lab before school, so he's pretty knowledgable with hand skills and dental materials — therefore, he's a great guy to sit near in the dental anatomy lab during waxing time. Seriously though, he's a supportive friend and I know that I can always count on him!
